Procedures for certifying actual attendance at coursesletter g) the methods for certifying actual attendance at courses by enrolled students

The methods of certifying the actual attendance of the courses by the enrolled may vary according to the type of course, the specific needs and, above all, the methods of delivery of the course itself:

ONLINE COURSES:

  1. Attendance management software: Digital platforms (such as ZOOM) that allow trainees to register via web portals, to participate with audio and video tools and allow teachers and members of the ADR Center training division to track learners’ connection times and times.

IN-PERSON COURSES:

  1. Attendance register: The teachers and members of the ADR Center training division record the attendance of students daily with signatures on a paper register (entry/exit).

FOR BOTH ONLINE AND IN-PERSON COURSES:

  1. Active participation: In particular for the Initial Course for Mediators, active participation in lectures, such as interventions, discussions and answers to questions is monitored as part of the methods of attestation of attendance.
  2. Assignments and verification tests: In some cases, attendance can be attested through the regular delivery of assignments, exercises, simulations or participation in periodic tests. Constant participation in these activities can be considered as proof of actual attendance.
  3. Self-declaration: Where necessary, for greater guarantee of the presence/participation of the trainees, at the end of the course participants are asked to sign a self-declaration of the total hours of actual attendance/participation in the specific training course.
Criteria for admission to the final assessment for students enrolled in coursesletter h) the criteria for admission to the final assessment of students enrolled in courses

The criteria for admission to the final evaluation of students enrolled in the courses vary according to the type of training course. However, ADR Center adopts some common criteria to ensure that students have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge before accessing the final assessment:

Attendance and Participation

  • Attendance: Attendance of 100% of the lessons equal to the minimum number of hours established by the relevant regulations (for this reason the courses are generally developed and proposed considering additional hours in case of absences/delays)
  • Active participation: Participation in discussions, classroom activities and any workshops.

Evaluation Continued

  • Assigned tasks: Possible completion of exercises and other work assigned during the course.
  • Intermediate tests: Passing exams or tests if administered during the course.

Behavior, Attitude and Compliance with Deadlines

  • Maintenance of appropriate and respectful behavior throughout the course and demonstration of a positive and proactive attitude toward training activities.
  • Meeting deadlines for delivery of possible assigned tasks.

Specific Requirements

  • Special requirements: Each course may have specific requirements based on the nature of the study program, such as the acquisition of particular technical skills, internship experiences, or participation in certain events or projects.

However, learners maintain a constant dialogue with the teachers and members of the ADR Center training division to ensure that they meet all the necessary requirements for admission to the final assessment.

Procedures for issuing the certificate of participation in the courseletter i) the procedures for issuing the certificate of participation in the course, including the outcome of the final examination

To obtain the certificate of participation in the course, it is necessary to follow the following procedures, which vary according to the type of course:

1. Participation in the Course:

  • Ensure that you have attended 100% of the minimum number of class hours in the course syllabus.
  • Actively participate in teaching activities, including any group work, simulations, discussions, papers and practical exercises.

2. Final exam:

  • Take and pass the final course test. This test may consist of a written exam, an oral presentation, a paper, or a combination of these depending on the type of course.
  • Passing the final examination is determined on the basis of evaluation criteria established by the faculty, which may include the quality of the work done, understanding of the course content, and the ability to apply it in practical contexts.

3. Issuance of the Certificate:

  • The certificate of attendance will be issued within a specified period of time (usually 2-4 weeks) after completion of the course.
  • The certificate is usually delivered in digital format, except for the Initial Mediators Course whose certificate is in paper format.
